As part of the team at CSUA: Woodmen, John Mancini, MD, has established himself as a leading urologist in the Colorado Springs, Colorado, area. He is well-versed in a full spectrum of urologic conditions and treatments and has special knowledge in urologic oncology, robotic surgery, and other minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Mancini attended medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating with highest honors. He then completed his residency in urologic surgery as well as a research fellowship in endourology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
During his military career, Dr. Mancini served as an Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter pilot, completing two combat tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal. Before joining the CSUA: Woodmen team, Dr. Mancini served as the Chief of Urology and Chair of Robotic Surgery at Evans Army Community Hospital in Fort Carson, Colorado.
Dr. Mancini is a member of the American Urologic Association and a board member of the Rocky Mountain Urology Society.
