Schafer

Soquel (pronounced “So-Kell”) Schafer, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant practicing at Colorado Springs Urological Associates, PLLC, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Originally from Northern California, Soquel graduated from the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, California, where she received her undergraduate degree. She then attended Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, California, where she received her master’s degree in medical science in the physician associate program.

While she finds all areas of urology interesting, she gives special emphasis to female-related urinary complaints, such as BPH, urinary stone care, and hormonal replacement therapy management. Soquel knows a patient’s time is precious, and she works hard to promote a supportive and positive patient/provider interaction by listening to concerns in their entirety.

Before becoming a physician assistant, Soquel worked as a physical therapy aid, caring for elders with memory loss, and as a behavioral instructor for children with Autism.

When Soquel isn’t working, she loves to backpack, bake (and more importantly, eat) bread, take overland trips in an old Toyota with her family, and has just started to dip her toe into mountain biking (yikes!). She has lived for several years in South America and is fluent in Spanish.
